About us
Because Why?! is an impact platform for people who think the way we do things is a bit... stupid. We have more knowledge, technology and resources than ever before, yet we continue to make decisions that harm the planet and everything living on it. That's ridiculous. We think we can do something about it.
We start by asking questions. We dig into the science, challenge assumptions and figure out what’s actually going on. Then we share what we learn here. Then we find people doing interesting, evidence-based work to make things better, and help fund their ideas.
Because Why is founder-funded while it is established. Public Impact Fund contributions will be reserved for projects as they come up.
Our investigations, podcasts and resources remain public.
Overlooked and early-stage work deserves serious attention.
Work should support people who understand the place.
We publish what was funded, why and what happened.
Clear claims and honest results, without vague promises.
